    Let’s just call it what it is: emotional contortionism. The art of bending ourselves into pretzel-shaped versions of “acceptable” just to keep the peace. Just to avoid the sigh. The side-eye. The “you’re too much” or the “why are you so sensitive?” Yeah. I’m tired of it, too.
